Trust is the reason SARVO exists, so we want to be precise about the signals you see on a company profile.
The Verified tick
A company receives the blue Verified tick only after a SARVO administrator reviews it. The tick is never granted by the company itself, by payment or automatically. If the status is withdrawn, the tick disappears. Companies that are suspended or rejected are not shown publicly.
What verification does not mean
Verification is a check on the listing. It is not a guarantee of any project, price or outcome, and it does not replace your own due diligence. We recommend speaking to references and reading case studies before you hire anyone.
Featured is different
Some companies are marked Featured. This is a labelled placement. It is not a trust signal and it does not affect ratings or the Verified status. We show Verified companies before Featured ones on the home page for this reason.
How reviews work
Anyone can submit a review, but reviews are moderated before they appear. A review needs a name, an email address, a phone number and a short genuine comment. Only published reviews count towards a company's star rating. We may reject reviews that look fake, abusive or unrelated.
Your own checklist
- Open the company website and check that it matches the profile
- Read the case studies and reviews, and look for specifics
- Ask for references and call them
- Compare at least three partners with the same brief
